I have been following your blog since almost a year and love your recipes. I have also tried your Chicken ghee roast, Christmas cake (The Ultimate winner) and Kokkisan but never happened to click any pictures. Just wanted to say Thank you and wanted to let you know that I appreciate all the hard work and passion that you put into your blog just to make cooking easy for people like me.

I live in New Zealand. I have inherited many of mum’s recipies but there
were many dishes I could remember the names of but mum never got down to
putting pen to paper. Your blog evokes so many beautiful memories of home
and our many holidays in Mangalore. My family joins me in saying thank you
for all the good work. Your work will be cast in stone for generations to
come and hopefully keep the old world wood fires burning in Mangalore. I
daresay though that Mangalore is so urbanised now and much of our childhood
memories are all but fading.
God bless you for what you do.

Happen to see your blog while searching for sweet pulv recipe. Your blog is just amazing. Being a Mangie myself I was really delighted to go through the recipe index. It took me back home as m here in the UAE. Will definetly keep your blog as my cooking guide. I tried the peas kurma and it came out well.

No doubt http://www.ruchikrandhap.com is one of the best sources of authentic manglorean cuisine. While lot of readers actually try out the receipies , there are lot more who would like to order / taste these tasty dishes of Mangalore. So here is a suggestion
Why not ruchikrandap create a section of marketplace where people interested to cook these dishes offer to cook against an order of those who would like to taste these for a fee.
This way ruchikrandap will attract further traffic , hobby cooks will start earning some pocket money and ready audience for their dishes. And those who cant cook will get a handy help to taste receipies..
Please give a serious thought on this suggestion..
Good luck!
Shireen Sequeira says
@ Info Guru: Thanks for your compliments and suggestions. As far as the marketplace is concerned I think there are a lot of people doing that already. At the moment I do not have the time to venture out to do this and also, my reputation will be at stake if I let people use my recipes and dish out food, all under my brand name. There won't be control over the quality as the food won't be cooked in my kitchen. But thanks so much for your ideas, I really appreciate it ๐
